Available Pokémon Tomy figures from 1st to 4th Generation

April 7, 2026

In this article, we will cover the 1st to 4th generations and examine whether complete figure releases exist for each of them. We will also discuss the alternatives collectors often use when official figures are missing, as well as common ways people fill those gaps in their collections.

1st Gen & 2nd Gen

For the first two generations, we essentially have a complete lineup thanks to Tomy releases. While it’s true that some Pokémon only received a single figure and never got another release, which is why certain pieces are quite expensive today, it is still possible to complete these generations with official figures. Overall, collectors can achieve a full collection for Gen 1 and Gen 2 without major issues.

3rd Gen

The third generation is not complete, and there are still many gaps. However, these can be filled using T-Arts, Zukan and Jazwares figures, and some people even create custom 3D-printed ones. The image here shows which figures are currently available and which are still missing. Fortunately, more are likely to be released over time!

Conclusion

Overall, the completeness of figure releases varies significantly across generations. Generations 1 and 2 stand out as fully achievable with official figures, while Generation 3 still presents noticeable gaps that collectors must creatively work around using alternative lines or custom pieces. Generation 4 continues this trend, showing that completing newer generations often requires more flexibility and resourcefulness.

As the hobby continues to grow, new releases may gradually fill some of these missing spots, making full collections more attainable over time.

In the next parts of this article, we will continue exploring the remaining generations, applying the same approach to determine their level of completeness and the options collectors have to fill any gaps.
